The Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) will release, on June 27, at 10 am, in Brasília (DF), the 2022 Demographic Census: Fertility and migration: Preliminary sample results. The event will be held in the auditorium of the Chemistry Institute (IQ) of the University of Brasília (UnB), Darcy Ribeiro campus, in Brasília (DF) and will be streamed through the IBGE Portal.

The release will include information on fertility and childbirth of women aged 12 or over, disaggregated by mother's age, color or race, and level of education.

Migration data will disaggregated by sex and age, and will include information on international immigration, place of birth, previous residence and uninterrupted time of residence in the municipality.

There will be a breakdown for Brazil, Major Regions, States, Municipalities and other geographies based on municipalities.

The event will also be streamed on the social media channels of the IBGE. The results will be available on the IBGE Portal and on platforms such as SIDRA and Census Overview, where they will also be available as interactive maps.

In person participation requires attendance confirmation by e-mail up to June 26.

Workshop for public managers, educators and students

Following the event, the IBGE will hold the workshop “A territory of information: potentialities of the 2022 Census data” for public managers, educators and students, from 2:00 pm to 5:30 pm.

In addition to the technical and operational aspects of the survey, the workshop will present its potential for decision-making by local managers, at either municipal or state level. The topics covered include: what is the Census?, survey figures, topics investigated, innovations in the 2022 Census, Post-Enumeration Survey, and the potential of information for local managers.
