President of SAP Latin America and Caribbean is one of the speakers in the Conference of Digital Era

Cristina Palmaka, President of SAP Latin America and Caribbean, will be one of the speakers in the National Conference of Data Producers and Users on the subject National Sovereignty in Geosciences, Statistics and Data - Risks and Opportunities of the Digital Era, to be held from July 29 to August 2 with the support of the University of the State of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ). Palmaka will take part in the roundtable Technological risks and opportunities for the public and private sector on July 29 at 2pm (check the complete schedule here).

The Conference of the Digital Era aims at improving the dialogue of the IBGE with the society and producers and users of data and statistics produced by the IBGE, as well as at assessing the production, dissemination and use of statistical and geographic information. Along five days, risks and opportunites derived from the current governance of the Digital Era and the consolidation of the National System of Geosciences, Statistics and Data (SINGED) will be some of the subjects in the dialogue with governments, academic institutions, public authorities, enterprises and society.

Cristina Palmaka is the President of SAP Latin America and Caribbean since July 2020. In her 30 years of experience in the IT sector, she is known for her strategic approach focused on innovation, transformation and production of results. She is part of the HITEC 50 list in 2022, which recognizes the 50 most influential leaders in the technology industry in Latin America, Portugal and Spain.

Palmaka has a MBA from the Getúlio Vargas Foundation (Brazil), has a master degree in International Businesses and Marketing from the University of Texas in Austin (USA) and she is graduated in Accounting Sciences from the Álvares Penteado Foundation (Brazil).
