IBGE, TSE advance negotiations for technical cooperation between institutions

The president of the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE), Marcio Pochmann, met, on Monday afternoon (27), with the president of the Superior Electoral Court (TSE), minister Nunes Marques, in Brasília, to discuss the basis of a technical cooperation between the two institutions.
The meeting was marked by the institutional dialogue and the convergence of interests around strengthening the capabilities of the two institutions through the technical sharing of knowledge.
Among the topics discussed were the possibilities for developing joint initiatives aimed at improving the production, integration and use of information of public interest, as well as institutional innovation and the improvement of technical processes.
At the end of the meeting, the willingness of both institutions to continue negotiations towards the formalization of a technical cooperation agreement was established, which should establish the priority areas of joint action and the knowledge exchange mechanisms between the IBGE and the TSE.
The initiative represents another step in strengthening the IBGE's institutional partnerships, reaffirming the Institute's commitment to producing world-class information and building a State that is increasingly integrated, efficient and driven by quality data.
