2022 Census
In Natal (RN), IBGE wil release results of 2022 Census for persons with disabilities and persons diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder

The Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) will release, on May 23, at 10 am, in Natal (RN), the results of “2022 Population Census: Persons with Disabilities and Persons Diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder – Preliminary sample results. The press conference will be held at the Order of Attorneys of Brazil - Rio Grande do Norte Sector.
The release will present information on the existence of disability and the types of functional difficulties – sight, hearing, walking, grasping catching small objects and communicating, conducting personal care, working or studying – due to a limitation in mental functions. Data will also cover persons diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. Data, disaggregated by sex, color or race, age groups and schooling of the population, available for Brazil, Major Regions, States, Municipalities and other geographies formed by Municipalities.
The event will also be streamed online on the IBGE social media channels. The results will be available on the IBGE portal and on platforms such as SIDRA, and on the Census Overview and the Interactive Geographic Platform (PGI), both of which also show results as interactive maps.

On the same day, the Institute delivers a workshop to public managers, educators and students
Following the release event, the IBGE will deliver the workshop , “A territory of information: potentialities of 2022 Census data” aimed at public managers, educators and students, from 2 pm to 5:30 pm.
Besides the technical and operational aspects of the survey, the free workshop will present its potentialities regarding decision making by local managers, at either state or municipal level. Among the topic approached are: what is the Census? survey figures, topics surveyed, 2022 Census innovations, Post-Enumeration Survey, besides potentialities of data for local managers. Registration is open at the IBGE Shop.
There will also be the presentation of tools such as the 2022 Census Overview, the Interactive Geographic Platform (PGI), the IBGE System of Automatic Retrieval (SIDRA) and the Environmental Information Database (BdiA), in addition to other topics already presented and perspectives for coming releases.
