The state of São Paulo will host the seminar "My Partner, My Brazil, Our IBGE" this Tuesday (June 16th), as part of the commemorative program for the Institute's 90th anniversary. The event will take place from 10 am to 12 pm at the headquarters of the Federation of Industries of the State of São Paulo (FIESP), in the city of São Paulo, and will be broadcast live via IBGE Digital.

The seminar aims to broaden the dialogue with institutional partners and reinforce the role of IBGE in producing essential information for public management and understanding the Brazilian reality.

The program will begin at 9:00 am with participant reception, followed by the institutional opening at 10:00 am with representatives from FIESP and the IBGE, including the Deputy Director of the IBGE's Directorate of Surveys, Vladimir Miranda, the IBGE Superintendent in São Paulo, Francisco Garrido Barcia, the Head of the FIESP's Department of Competitiveness and Technology (Decomtec), Antônio Carlos Teixeira Álvares, and Renato Corona, FIESP's Superintendent of Industry. Throughout the morning, Vladimir Miranda will present an overview of the Institute's statistical surveys.

Next, the coordinator of the Coordination of Structural and Thematic Statistics in Companies (CESET), Andrea Bastos Guimarães, will lead the presentation on structural economic surveys, highlighting the launch of PINTEC 2025.

The thematic program will conclude with a presentation by Francisco Marta, coordinator of Registration and Classifications at the IBGE's Directorate of Surveys, who will address the revision of the National Classification of Economic Activities (CNAE 3.0) and its implementation planned for 2027. The event will end at 12:00 pm.

The president of the IBGE, Marcio Pochmann, said: “In celebrating its 90th anniversary at FIESP, the IBGE reaffirms a fundamental truth. There is no strong industry, intelligent investment, or sustainable development without quality information. Where production generates wealth, the IBGE produces knowledge. It is from the union of statistics, geography, and economic activity that a more sovereign, efficient, and future-ready Brazil is built.”

The IBGE superintendent in São Paulo, Francisco Garrido Garcia, highlighted: “This seminar, in addition to being part of the IBGE's 90th-anniversary celebrations, renews an institutional connection with this important entity, strengthening our commitment to fulfilling our institutional mission,” stated the superintendent in the state, Francisco Garrido Garcia.

Each Federation Unit will host a seminar, with an approach that values ​​local experiences, the work of employees, and partnerships with regional institutions, highlighting how the IBGE is built nationally from state-level singularities.

The State Thematic Seminars will cover nine thematic areas, reflecting the diversity and complexity of the activities developed by the Institute throughout its history: Administrative Activites; Data Collection; Dissemination; Geosciences; Partnerships; Research; State Superintendencies and Agencies; Technology; and Training and Education.
