Computed by the IBGE, the National Index of Civil Construction - Sinapi rose 0.38% in June. Even standing 0.08 percentage points above the 0.30% index in May, this is the lowest rate for June since 2009, when it stayed at 0.35%.

As a result, the cost of construction per square meter in Brazil stayed at R$1,046.68, being R$536.28 relative to materials and R$510.40, to labor force.

The highest monthly change took place in the Central-West Region (0.82%). Acre was the state that registered the highest rise (2.82%), due to the increase in labor force (5.29%) and materials (0.79%). Augusto Oliveira, manager of the survey, explains that the rise in the prices of civil construction tend to follow the increases in labor force, due to work agreements in the states, though the case of Acre features the rise of 0.79% in materials. "The increase in the materials portion tend to swing around 0.30% per month, so we can consider it a significant rise in this state", explains Augusto.
