Who doesn´t like the World Cup mood, isn´t it? In the year that the IBGE completes its 90th anniversary and that the largest football competition on the planet takes place, IBGEeduca takes the field with the new edition of Football Countries - an on-line memory game with the flags of the 48 countries that dispute the championship.
Developed by the IBGE´s Division of On-Line Experience and Services (CEON), the game has three levels of difficulty - "beginner", "star" and "champion" - set with 2, 4 or 6 minutes by the stopwatch and it is hosted on the IBGEeduca portal on the Internet, in the Crianças/Brincadeiras area.
With games taking place in cities in the United States, Canada and Mexico, the 2026 World Cup begins officially on June 11 with the Mexican and South African teams clashing in the initial match.
Brazil will debut on June 13 against Morocco, then on June 19 against Haiti and then against Scotland on June 24. The grand final is scheduled to Sunday, July 19.
