90 years of the IBGE: commemorative edition of Casa Brasil IBGE Magazine is available for download

From today (21) on, a special edition of Casa Brasil IBGE Magazine will be available for download in commemoration of the 90th anniversary of the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE), which has been responsible for the production of essential information for the country since May 29, 1936.

The five articles of the magazine present a current portrait of the institute, highlighting aspects of its history, as shown in the article My Brazil, our IBGE. The text focuses on events in commemoration of the IBGE's 90th anniversary, besides traveling over the history of the IBGE from its beginning up to its look at the future.
Another article shows that the new officials, approved in the National Unified Competitive Examination (CPNU), have a channel to speak more about their expectations in relation to their work at the IBGE and about facts from their own lives.
Also featuring the new employees, in Protagonists who make history the magazine highlights the experience of IBGE Superintendencies and Branches in data collection and dissemination all over Brazil.
The events are the stars of two articles: one about the launch of the 2026 IBGE Workplan with events in five Major Regions: Macapá (AP), São Francisco do Conde (BA), Brasília (DF), Belo Horizonte (MG) and Curitiba (PR). The other one is about the opening of branches of Casa Brasil IBGE in Bahia, Ceará and Pernambuco.
Edition no. 5 of the magazine also presents an activity prepared by the IBGEeduca team for children and teenage readers.
