Casa Brasil IBGE SUDENE will offer holiday courses on Digital Era in January 2025

As part of the actions promoted for the opening of Casa Brasil IBGE SUDENE, registration for holiday courses in Recife will be open on Tuesday (26)

Casa Brasil IBGE SUDENE started its activities yesterday, 25, in the headquarters of the Superintendence for Development of the Northeast, located in the neighborhood of Boa Viagem, em Recife (PE).
An objective of Casa Brasil IBGE is to offer, by 2026, when the IBGE celebrates its 90th anniversary, an exhibition mixing memory and technology, which lies at the basis of this project.
Now, with Casa Brasil IBGE Sudene, the Northeast will have a facility gathering regionalized information on economy, social indicators and surveys about topics of interest to society. The facility is the result of a cooperation agreement between both institutions.
Holiday courses
The purpose of the workshop is to teach users how to access data available on the IBGE digital platforms, which gather more than 1 trillion variables and 1,5 pieces of information.
There will be free onsite workshops during school holidays, in January 2025.
The workshops "Public policies in the digital era: Mastering IBGE data" will provide students, professors, scholars and public managers, staff of NGOs, and the public in general with proper guidance on how to access and use information according to the best practices and supplying the needs of studies, research and work.
Four groups in January 2025
The workshops will be delivered onsite, from 9 am to 12 pm, on four days, with 80 participants per group. The team in charge of the classes will be technicians and specialists from the Coordination of Online Services and Experience of the IBGE’s Center for Information Documentation and Dissemination (CEON/CDDI).

National certificate
Each participant will receive a certificate granted by ENCE, National School of Statistical Sciences, which has been for more than 70 years a reference in terms of undergraduate, master’s and doctoral programs, well ranked in the CAPES classification, being internationally recognized for its activities.
