Marcio Pochmann, President of the IBGE and Gliner Dias, IBGE State Superintendent in Pernambuco, met this Tuesday, 7, in Recife (PE), Fabrício Marques, State Secretary of Planning, Management and Regional Development of Pernambuco, Jaime Prado, President of the State Agency of Planning and Surveys of Pernambuco (Condepe/Fidem), Lorena Iumatti, Manager of Information Dissemination and Systematization, and technician André Luís Silva to promote the information interface of statistical and cartographic data and assess the possibility of new cooperation projects among the institutions.

The meeting was held at the headquarters of the Secretariat of Planning (Seplag) and also counted with the participation of the institutions, as well as the Management Institute, subordinate to the Secretariat.  “The IBGE does not want still data, but rather dynamic data, to get even closer to the society,” highlighted Márcio Pochmann.

Secretary Fabrício Marques, who coordinated the meeting, registered that the “initiative of a partnership will be key for Condepe/Fidem in its current restructuring. Geo-referencing is important for planning as, for example, the geo-localization of areas to install nurseries in the metropolitan area of Recife, carried out by a Seplag team.”
