The Federal Administration, through the Ministry of Management and Innovation in Public Services (MGI), published, on January 10, the public notices of the National Unified Public Tender (CPNU). 3.5 million persons are expected to apply for 6,640 positions in 21 federal public offices. The test will be applied on May 5 in 220 cities in all the Federation Units, being split into eight thematic blocks of the areas of work.

The IBGE is one of the participating federal offices, being the CPNU the greatest public tender ever. It includes 895 new positions for IBGE officers. Marcio Pochmann, President of the IBGE, highlighted the greatness of the public tender and the effort of the Federal Administration in valuing the public service. “In 2024, when the IBGE completes 88 years of existence, it will accomplish the greatest public tender ever, part of the national selection process carried out by the Federal Administration, which has made a very important effort to value the public service and improve the number of federal officers,” stated Pochmann.

The president also summoned the candidates, highlighting the role of the IBGE in the production of data. “The IBGE is the major survey institution, which shows the face of Brazil. A kind of postcard of Brazilians, as well as the compass for those who govern the country. Feel free to take part in this public tender and contribute with Brazil, being a public officer at the IBGE, I count on you,” said Pochmann.

Enrollment is open between January 19 and February 9, 2024. The rate is R$60 for secondary education and R$90 for higher education. For more information, please access Gov.br.
