The fourth edition of the federal government's Federative Caravan will be held in the capital of Tocantins, Palmas, on the 9th and 10th of November. The Institutional Relations Secretariat (SIR) will confirm the venue and time of the event. During the event, IBGE technicians will have the opportunity to give visibility to the Institute's surveys and actions, in addition to offering assistance to the state's 139 city halls.
The event will include lectures, workshops, provision of services and technical support from various institutions. The goal is to reach greater institutional engagement between federal, state and municipal governments, to establish joint actions and a permanent communication channel between federated entities.
At the IBGE stand, mayors, advisors, secretaries and other participants will be able to talk about the Institute's products, learn about the databases and information channels, as well as check the results of the 2022 Population Census and other surveys. Visitors will receive bags with pads, pens, calendar maps and institutional folders/information.
In addition to IBGE, 24 ministries have already confirmed their participation in the Tocantins Federative Caravan. Caixa Econômica Federal, Banco do Brasil, the Federal Data Processing Service (Serpro) and Correios will also be present at the event.
Caravans
With the theme: “Unity and reconstruction towards new federative relations”, in August, Salvador (BA) was the first capital to receive the initiative. In September, it was Rio de Janeiro's turn and, in October, Porto Alegre (RS) had the opportunity to host the event. In Palmas, however, it will be IBGE's third participation in the Federative Caravan. In 2023, it is expected that Caravans will still be held in Manaus (AM), Fortaleza (CE) and Goiânia (GO) and the IBGE will be present in all of them.
