The IBGE opens today (May 25) another simplified complementary selection process (PSS) for the temporary hiring of professionals who will work in the 2022 Census. There are 56 positions for Municipal Census Agents (ACM) and 164 for Supervising Census Agents (ACS), distributed in 159 municipalities in 15 states. Registrations close on June 1st. In addition, until May 31st, registrations are open for 133 positions for Administration and Information Technology Census Agents (ACAI), distributed in 114 municipalities, in 14 states.

Registration for both processes must be carried out online, filling out the registration form on the IBGE website, free of charge. For applicants with complete secondary education, the monthly compensation offered is R$2,100.00 for ACMs and R$1,700 for ACSs and ACAIs, plus food and transportation allowances.

The ACM manages the operation of the data collection station, while the ACS, subordinate to the ACM, has as its main function to support enumerators in the field. The attributions of the ACAI encompass: adopting measures for hiring enumerators, extending their contract terms and laying them off; collaborating in the organization and administration of the collection stations, including assistance in the installation and configuration of computer equipment at the stations and sub-areas.

The duration of the contract is up to five months, with the possibility of extension. The working time is 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day. Among the total of 350 positions offered in the two processes, 74 are for Black or Brown People (PPP) and 21 for People with Disabilities (PcD).

How to register

To apply, the candidate must fill in the online application form. The presentation of the original documentation or certified copy (identity and academic degree) must be made only at the time of hiring. The analysis of degrees will used as classificatory criterion.

More information and guidance on selection processes – such as public notices, registration, results of degree analysis and final result – are available on the IBGE website.

Complementary process

The opening of the complementary PSS for ACMs and ACSs is a way to continue the selection initiated through public notice nº 09/2021, specifically aiming at positions for locations where the positions available outnumbered the approved candidates. The complementary PSS for ACAIs continues the selection initiated through public notice No. 08/2021.

The hiring will be carried out pursuant to Law 8,745, which allows the admission of personnel for a determined period in order to meet the temporary need of exceptional public interest.
