National Unified Public Tender: IBGE has most competed position in selection process

The Ministry of Management and Innovation released on Monday, 19, the candidate per vacancy ratio in the National Unified Public Tender (CPNU), accomplished last Sunday, 18, in 228 cities of 26 Federation Units and the Federal District, applying for 6,640 vacancies of 21 federal offices. Altogether, more than two million persons applied for the tender. The most competed position was that of Civil Engineer as an IBGE Analyst, with 28,534 persons applying for one vacancy.

According to Marcio Pochmann, President of the IBGE, it shows "how much IBGE is reliable for the Brazilian population, represented by the interest of many persons in participating in the continuous work of better portraying the Brazilian reality and contributing to the governance of the Brazilian data."

By means of the CPNU, the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) carried out the biggest selection process ever, with 895 new vacancies distributed along seven out of eight thematic blocks.

For higher education, the positions and specialities related to the IBGE were divided in the following way: 133 vacancies in Block 1 (Infrastructure, Exact Sciences and Engineering); 122 vacancies in block 2 (Technology, Data and Information); 29 vacancies in Block 3 (Environment, Agriculture and Biology); 4 vacancies in Block 5 (Education, Health, Social Development and
Human Rights); 32 vacancies in Block 6 (Economic Sectors and Regulation); and 275 vacancies in
Block 7 (Governmental Management and Public Administration).
Block 8 allocated 300 vacancies for candidates with secondary
education, spread along the five Brazilian Major Regions: 47 vacancies in the North; 86 in the Northeast; 40 in the Central-West; 91 in the Southeast; and 36 in the South.

Candidates follow up schedule of the National Unified Public Tender

After the tests, candidates can follow up the schedule until the final
result of the National Unified Public Tender. The preliminary result is available on the Cesgranrio website;

  • Preliminary release of the results of the objective tests: August 20, 2024;
  • Release of the image of the response card:: September 10, 2024;
  • Release of the final grades of the objective tests and of the preliminary grade of the discursive test: October
    8, 2024;
  • Scheduled release date of the final results: October 21, 2024
