IBGE launches Brazilian Round of Poster Competition at Casa Brasil IBGE

The IBGE launches today, June 26, the Brazilian round of the International Statistical Poster Competition 2024-2025 to celebrate the launch of the Statistical Yearbook of Brazil, at Casa Brasil IBGE.
That is an initiative carried out by the Institute, represented by the National School of Statistical Sciences (ENCE) and the IBGE Educa website (IBGE Teaches), in partnership with the Federal University of Rio Grande – FURG, for the promotion of statistical literacy among educators and students.
Having as its target audience students, teachers and professors in the Basic and Higher Education segments, the competition takes place every two years as part of the ISLP Poster Competition 2024-2025, promoted by the International Statistical Literacy Project (ISLP), a project with the International Association for Statistical Education (IASE) – education department within the Internacional Statistics Institute (ISI).
Being responsible for the Brazilian round of the competition this year, the IBGE intends to encourage students and teachers from all over Brazil to participate, besides fostering the use, interpretation and dissemination of statistical information.
Free registration will be open from October 21 to December 20, 2024 on the IBGE Educa website (educa.ibge.gov.br). The choice of topic is free and participation is allowed for groups with 1 to 5 students, with a registered teacher as their advisor.
The winners of the Brazilian round and those from other countries will be known at the 65th ISI World Statistics Congress in The Hague (Netherlands), held from October 5 to 9, 2025, where the winners will have their posters displayed.
