IBGE releases schedule for April 29 to May 5

The IBGE released today (29) the schedule for the week from April 29 to May 5. The document includes the releases, internal and external meetings, as well as events and appointments of the Presidency, Directorates and Advisories, State Superintendencies and the National School of Statistical Sciences (ENCE).

Since January, the IBGE has released the weekly schedule to the public every Monday on IBGE Schedule.

Presidency

On Monday, April 29, at 3 PM, the Presidency participated in a comptroller event with the General Comptroller´s Office on Correctional Maturity. Key Performance Areas 2.1 will be presented in the event. On the same day, at 5 PM, the ceremony to grant the title of Honorary Doctor to Pedro Geiger and to release the book Redes Sociais do Urbano Brasileiro (Social Networks of the Brazilian Urban).

On Tuesday, 30, at 8 AM, the Presidency takes part in the 34th on-line meeting of the High-Level Group for the Partnership, Coordination and Reinforcement of Skills for Statistics in 2030. At 3 PM, the Presidency participates in the meeting with the General Comptroller´s Office to discuss the Key Performance Areas 2.1.

On Thursday, May 2, at 10 AM, the Presidency will be interviewed by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) Brazil on the updating of the 2030 Agenda course of the SDG Project.

IBGE´s Directorates and Advisories

Throughout Monday, 29, a Directorate of Survey´s (DPE) team takes part in the 12th Meeting of the Inter-Ministry Workgroup on Governance of the National Plan of Care. On the same day, a technical discussion on population indicators will be carried out with the Inter-Agency Network of Health Information (RIPSA). In addition, the team will travel to New York to take part in the 57th Commission on Population and Development, an event that will be held until Friday.

Still on Monday, at 8 AM, the General-Coordinator of the National School of Statistical Sciences (ENCE) will participate in the CIAP Workshop (Center for Inter-Institutional Cooperation of Artificial Intelligence Applied to Public Policies) of the Federal University of Goiás. At 9 AM, an on-line meeting of the Program Committee of the 8th Conference on Big Data will be carried out. At 2 PM, a ´team of the Directorate of Geosciences (DGC) takes part in a meeting of the Integration Work Group among the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation (Embrapa), the National Institute for Spatial Research (INPE) and the IBGE to discuss Land Use and Cover Mapping in Brazil.

On Tuesday, 30, at 9 AM, the Coordination of Social Communication (CCS) will carry out the press release of the Continuous National Household Sample Survey (Continuous PNAD - Monthly Edition) for the first quarter of 2024. At 2 PM, teams of the Executive Directorate (DE) and Directorate of Information Technology (DTI) participate in an internal meeting on the National Conferences of Geography and Cartography and of Statistics (CONFEGE and CONFEST).

Still on Tuesday, at 2:30 PM, a DPE´s team takes part in the workshop Inter-Sectoral Strategy for the Reduction of Food Waste. At 3:30 PM, it participates in an on-line meeting with the Department of Mediation and Conciliation of Indigenous Land Disputes of the Ministry of Indigenous Peoples (DEMED/GM/MPI).

On Thursday, May 2, at 1 PM, teams of the DPE and DGC take part in the workshop to release “A Territory of Information: 2022 Census: Quilombolas and indigenous people, by sex and age, according to specific geographies: Population results.” The event will be held in Paraty (RJ). At 2 PM, a webinar with the Research Core, ENCE´s General Coordination and the international statistical community will be carried out with the theme “What has changed in the official statistics since the use of Big Data and data science over the last 10 years?.”

On Friday, May 3, at 9 AM, the CCS will carry out the online press conference of the Monthly Survey of Industry (PIM Brazil), with the reference period of March 2024. At the same time, an ENCE´s team takes part in a meeting on Strategic Planning with CIAP and the Center of Studies of Public Policies (NEPP/Unicamp). At 10:30 AM, a DE´s team participates in an internal hearing with the Public Labor Ministry (MPT).

State Superintendencies

On Monday, April 29, at 2 PM, a team of the State Superintendence of Goiás (SES GO) travels to Presidente Prudente (SP) to check geometric leveling for the connection of the PPTE station to the IHRF (International Height Reference Frame). On Thursday, a meeting with the coordinator of the National Operator of Civil Registry in Brazil (ONRCPN) will be held to discuss the inclusion of the IBGE in the Electronic System of Public Registries (SERP).

On Tuesday, at 2 PM, the State Superintendence of Maranhão (SES MA) will present the IBGE surveys in the seminar “Social Indicators and Young Vulnerability.” In the State Superintendence of Rio Grande do Norte (SES RN), a team takes part in the State Conference on Science, Technology and Innovation of Rio Grande do Norte 2024.
