The IBGE Schedule for this week is now available. This edition presents the IBGE activities to be held from March 25 to 31 and it encompasses includes internal and external meetings, events and appointments of the Presidency, the IBGE Directorates and Advisories, State Superintendencies and the National School of Statistical Sciences (ENCE).

Presidency

On Monday (25), the president of the IBGE, Marcio Pochmann, will give a press conference to foreign journalists at 4 pm, On Tuesday (26), at 8:30 am, he will participate in the 25th Meeting of the National Association of the Planning, Research and Statistical Institutions (ANIPES). At 2 pm, Mr. Pochmann will attend the opening ceremony of the 176th Meeting of the IBGE’s Board of Trustees. On the same day and time, there will be the 30th Meeting of the Subcommittee for Integration and Development of the South-American Region.

Also on Tuesday (26), at 4 pm, the president will join a meeting with the Ministry of Planning and Budget (MPO). And the President will also travel to São Paulo for the IBGE Integrity Workshop, with rounds of interviews with civil servants from the IBGE.

On Wednesday (27), at 2:30, the president will give the master lecture of the Graduate Program in Demography at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN). At 7 pm, he will participate in a meeting with professors from the program at UFRN.

Other Directorates

On March 25, Monday, at 9 am, the team of the National School of Statistical Sciences (ENCE) will join the 7th meeting of the Program Committee. At 1 pm, a team from the Executive Directorate (DE) will take part in the Workshop for Planning in Demands for Training in 2024, with ENCE. At 2 pm, members from the Directorate of Surveys (DPE) will have a meeting with the Office of the Controller General (CGU), for an overview of management, governance and control associated to the National Classification of Economic Activities (CNAE).

Also on Monday, a team from the Directorate of Geosciences (DGC) will attend a training session on the National Spatial Data Infrastructure (INDE). At 1 pm, there will be a meeting with the Ministry of the Environment. At 2 pm, a meeting with the Department of the Ocean and Coastal Management of the Ministry of the Environment (DOCEANO/MMA). And, at 4 pm, at the Center for Information Dissemination and Documentation (CDDI), the coordinator of CDDI/CCS, Daniel Castro, will be managing the president’s conference with the international press, which will be held at Casa de Cultura Laura Alvim – G20 Lounge (3rd floor, at 176 Vieira Souto Avenue – Ipanema/RJ).

On Tuesday (26), at 8 am, a team from the National School of Statistical Sciences (ENCE) will participate in a meeting with the National Association of the Planning, Research and Statistical Institutions (ANIPES). The team from the Directorate of Surveys (DPE) will attend the 2nd meeting of the “Employment Work Group”, in Brasília, where IBGE data on Equality and earnings with a focus on gender will be presented. Members from the Directorate of Geosciences (DGC) will be in a meeting with the National Association of the Planning, Research and Statistical Institutions ), in Maricá (RJ). And, at 9 am, there will be a meeting of the Portuguese Speaking Countries Division of the United Nations Group of Experts on Geographical Names (UNGEGN).

Also on Tuesday, the coordinator of CDDI/CCS, Daniel Castro, will participate in an Ethics Workshop promoted by the Planning Secretariat of Diadema Municipal Government (SP). At 9 am, at the Center for Information Dissemination and Documentation (CDDI), there will be a meeting of the UN Committee of Experts on Mobile Phone Data.

The following day, Wednesday (27), at 2 pm, members of the Directorate of Surveys (DPE) will have a meeting with the National Laboratory of Scientific Computation (LNCC), for the Global Partnership on Artificial Intelligence (GPAI), about the future of work.

And on Thursday (28), at 10 am, the Social Communication Department (CCS) will host the online press conference of Monthly Continuous PNAD, February 2024 edition.

State Superitendencies

On Monday (25), at 2:30 pm, at the State Superintendency in Espírito Santo (SES ES), there will be an online meeting of the Integrated Geoinformation Production Sections (SPIGs) with the Integrated Geoinformation Production Coordination (CPIG), about the status of works and the schedule of activities.

On Tuesday, at the State Superintendency of Ceará (SES CE), at 9 am, technicians from the State and Municipal Secretariats, to advertise and seek support for the National Survey of School Health (PeNSE).

And on the same day, at 2 pm, at the State Superintendency of the Federal District (SES DF), a lecture will be given to principals of schools that form the sample of PeNSE 2024.
