In Juiz de Fora (MG), IBGE releases the main characteristics of the quilombola housing units and population

The Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) will release, on May 9, at 10 am (Brasília time), in Juiz de Fora (MG), the results of the “Population Census - Quilombolas - Main characteristics of persons and of housing units, with population results,” with information about the main demographic and social characteristics of quilombolas and the housing units with at least one wuilombola resident. These data will be available for Brazil, Major Regions and Federation Units, municipalities, Legal Amazon and quilombola territories.
The event will take place at the Sciences Center of the Federal University of Juiz de Fora (UFJF), located on João Lourenço Kelmer St, Praça Cívica - UFJF Campus, in Juiz de Fora (MG). The ceremony will be streamed online on the IBGE portal and on the social media channels of the Institute.
On the same day, the Institute organizes workshop for public managers, educators and students in Juiz de Fora (MG)
In the same event, the IBGE will give the workshop “A territor of information: potentialities of the 2022 Census data” aimed at public managers, educators and students, from 2 to 6 pm.
In this free workshop, the IBGE team will present, besides technical and operational aspects of the survey, its potentialities for decision making by either municipal or state managers. The topics approached include: what is the Census?, figures of the survey, topic investigated in the releases, innovations in the 2022 Census, besides potentialities of information provided to local managers. Registration is open on the IBGE Store portal.
There will also be the presentation of tools such as the 2022 Census Overview, the Interactive Geographic Platform (PGI), the IBGe System of Automatic Recovery (SIDRA) and the Environmental Information Database (BdiA). Previously released topics will also be approached, besides prospects for coming releases.
