Launched at an event, on Tuesday (09/04) at Casa G 20, in Rio de Janeiro (RJ), the World Map, developed by the IBGE, was given by President Marcio Pochmann to the President of the Republic, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, to the president of the National Congress, Rodrigo Pacheco, to Senator Randolfe Rodrigues, to the Secretary of Institutional Relations, Alexandre Padilha, and to the Minister of the Secretariat of Social Communication, Paulo Pimenta. President Lula recieved it in audience, on March 21, at Palácio Alvorada, in Brasília. Ministers and Congresspersons received the map from Marcio Pochmann, this week, on a visit to the National Congress.
The World Map highlights the countries that make up the G20 and those that have Brazilian diplomatic representation, as well as some basic information about Brazil, such as population and area, among other data. For the IBGE, the production of the map occurs timely, when Brazil is presiding over the G20, and is an opportunity to show a unique way of the country being seen in relation to this group of countries and the rest of the world.
