According to Ranieri Ferreira Leite, operational coordinator of the census in the state, the first two days were challenging.  “We had to discharge some questionnaires after collection, because they were in an old version.”

Despite the initial scenario, the team considers these obstacles are part of the process of improvement in a pilot test. “We understand that, as a test, it is going to get better from now on,” the coordinator says.

Ranieri believes some of the problems have started to be solved after the identification of filures by the field teams, which have sought alternatives while still in the data collection units. Data collection is expected to resume its proper pace in coming days after some technical and operational adjustments.
