The IBGE Presidency would like to announce that journalist Michel Silva will take the position of General Coordinator of Social Communication (CCS), and the position of Coordinator of Service and Information of the Center for Information Documentation and Dissemination (CDDI/COATI) will be replaced by Jeane Dezerto Ribeiro.

Michel Silva is a journalist with a degree from PUC-Rio and a postgraduate degree in Investigative Journalism from IDP. He has great professional experience in various media outlets and institutions, such as Fala Roça, Fiocruz, and collaborations with SECOM/PR and UNESCO.

Jeane Ribeiro has been an IBGE civil servant since 1980, with 16 years of experience in archives. During her career at the institution, she has worked in the Population Census, the Census of Agriculture, the Directorate of Geosciences, and currently serves on the Executive Board.

The IBGE thanks civil servants Adriana Saraiva for the period in which she temporarily took over the CCS and Danielle Barreiros for her contribution during her time as head of COATI, while congratulating Michel Silva and Jeane Ribeiro, wishing they succeed as they carry on their work in their new positions at CDDI CCS.
