IBGE´s Presidency notice

The Presidency of the IBGE reports that a fire occurred this afternoon (July 29) in front of the IBGE Ecological Reserve in Brasília.
Two IBGE officers, members of the fire brigade, passed away when fighting against the fire in the external area, preventing it from spreading to the IBGE´s reserve.
They were:

MANOEL JOSE DE SOUZA NETO, Technical in Planning, Management and Infrastructure in Geographic and Statistical Information, 65 years, hired on February 18, 1982. |

VALMIR DE SOUZA E SILVA, Technical in Planning, Management and Infrastructure in Geographic and Statistical Information, 65 years, hired on June 22, 1981. |
The Presidency decrees a three-day official mourning.
Through the Superintendence in the Federal District, the IBGE Board is supporting the families of the deceased and taking the necessary measures.
