Triple Forum in Fortaleza: free registration for 35 thematic panel sessions open up to May 30

Health, budget, education, culture, favelas and poor urban communities, economy, finances, environment labor, color and race, tourism, communication, memory, among other topics are in the Tentative Schedule  (https://eventos.ibge.gov.br/triplo-forum/pre-programacao).

More than 100 speakers from Brazil and abroad will debate current and new indicators from the perspective of the Global South in the Digital Era, from June 11 to 13, in Fortaleza.

Vacancies are limited and registration is open until May 30, on the IBGE website (https://eventos.ibge.gov.br/triplo-forum). After this step, nregistration will remain for remaining panel sessions.

Thematic panel sessions are strategic for those who want to learn about indicators and their importance in the lives of people, governments, companies an countries!

More on the Triple Forum 

From June 11 to 13, Fortaleza will receive a big number of representatives from statistical offices in the Global South, among which the following confirmed delegations: Angola, South Africa, Colombia, China, Egypt, United Arab Emirates, Ethiopia, Ecuador, Indonesia, Mozambique, Russia and Uruguay.

Besides the official delegations, the Triple Forum will receive participants from more than 30 countries! And more than 100 speakers!

  • The Forum will gather, in Fortaleza, from June 11 to 13, participants of BRICS, Mercosur and CPLP, in a year of debates about COP 30 in Brazil, which will include countries in the Amazon biome.
  • Registration for face-to-face participation in the Triple Forum is available for authorities, public and private managers, scholars, researchers, professionals and students, besides civil society entities. 
  • Besides thematic panel sessions, the Triple Forum will offer the technology workshop: "Public policies in the digital age: Mastering IBGE data." 
  • Registration for remote participation will be available from May 26, on the IBGE website.
  • International panel sessions will be translated. All participants will get certificates issued by the IBGE.

IBGE, State Government of Ceará, PNUD and other partners

The Brazilian Institute of Geography of Statistics (IBGE), in cooperation with the State Government of Ceará and support from the United Nations Development Programme (PNUD) will promote, from June 11 to 13, the "Triple International Forum on Governance of the Global South - New indicators and strategic topics for development and sustainability in the Digital Age," which will take place in Fortaleza, at the Event Center of Ceará (Av. Washington Soares, 999).

The Triple Forum has the objective of organizing a technical debate (face-to-face and remote) with the opportunity of gathering the heads of National Statistical Offices, authorities, representatives, public and private managers, universities, entities of civil society, young researchers, students, among others, around challenges posed to the International Governance in the Digital Age and impacts on the economies of the Global South.

In addition, it is worth pointing out that, in 2025, Brazil presides BRICS and that Mercosur has the IBGE as Brazilian representative the of statistical offices in these countries. And Brazil will have a special agenda dedicated to the Community of Portuguese Language Countries.

These are three strategic forums for the advance of proposals and actions of new sovereign indicators and for reflection upon essential topics in development and sustainability, in the year of COP 30 - 30th UN Climate Change Conference (Conference of the Parties) in Brazil, which will have participation of countries in the Amazon biome.
