IBGE releases Schedule for the week of April 14 to 18

The Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) released today (14) another edition of the IBGE Agenda. The document includes events, internal and external meetings, and appointments of  the several areas of the Institute, including the Presidency, the Directorates and Advisory Boards, the State Superintendencies and the National School of Statistical Sciences (ENCE), for the week of April 14 to 18.

Since January 2024, the IBGE Agenda has been released every Monday at 9 am and includes the calendar for the coming days, starting from the date of publication. Check out the full IBGE schedule on the IBGE Schedule news channel.

Presidency

On Monday (14), at 10 am, the IBGE Presidency team will participate in the weekly meeting of the General Division of Census Operations (GCE). At 4:00 p.m., members of the Presidency will meet with the Budget and Financial Execution Assessment Committee (CAEOF).

On Tuesday (15), at 9:00 a.m., representatives of the Presidency will participate in a meeting of the Technical Committee of the 12th Census of Agriculture.

On Wednesday (16), at 8:30 a.m., the Presidency team will participate in a meeting of the Technical Committee of the 2022 Population Census. At 10:00 a.m., representatives of the Presidency will attend a meeting to monitor the activities of the National Address File for Statistical Purposes (CNEFE). At 2:00 p.m., members of the Presidency will participate in a meeting to monitor the Operational Database (BDO) team.

On Thursday (17), at 10 am, representatives of the Presidency will be present at the event to publicize the 2022 Demographic Report: Urbanist Characteristics of Household Surroundings, in Maceió (AL). At 2 pm, the Presidency team will participate in a meeting on the Census Operations Schedule.

Directorates and Advisory Boards

On Monday (14), at 10 am, representatives of the Directorate of Surveys (DPE) will participate in the 24th Meeting of the Incra Agrarian Conflict and Tension Control System (CTCA). At 1:30 pm, professors from the National School of Statistical Sciences (ENCE) will give an inaugural class at the Institute of Urban and Regional Planning and Research (IPPUR), on the topic Evidence, Artificial Intelligence and Public Policies in Civilizational Resistance. At 3 pm, the DPE team will meet with representatives from the Central Bank of Brazil (BACEN).

On Tuesday (15), at 9:30 am, the Executive Directorate (DE) team will participate in a meeting of the presidency with coordinators and superintendents. At 10 am, representatives of the Geosciences Directorate (DGC) will participate in a meeting of the Executive Board of the United Nations Regional Management Committee on Global Geospatial Information for the Americas (UN-GGIM: Americas).

Also on Tuesday, at 10 am, the Division of Online Services and Experience (CEON) team will participate in a meeting with representatives of the Ceará Institute for Economic Research and Strategy (IPECE). At 2 pm, ENCE professors will give a lecture on Artificial Intelligence Applied to Public Policies (IAPP) at the Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRRJ).

On Wednesday (16), throughout the day, representatives of the DPE will participate in the United Nations (UN) event parallel to the 4th session of the Permanent Forum on Peoples of African Descent: Data and evidence: an essential tool to combat systemic racism and inequalities for people of African descent, in New York, United States.

Also on Wednesday, at 11 am, ENCE professors will be present at the Sixth webinar: Climate Change Indicators Series. At 2 pm, the DPE team will give a seminar on IBGE's participation in the 56th Session of the UN Statistical Commission.

On Thursday (17) at 12 pm, the DPE team will participate in a meeting of the Steering Group of the UN Working Team on Scanners. At 2:00 p.m., members of the Directorate of Geosciences (DGC) will participate in a meeting to monitor the Geospatial Data Quality Control activities carried out at the State Superintendencies of Bahia, the Federal District, Goiás, Ceará, Santa Catarina, and Pará.

State Superintendencies

On Monday (14), at 8:00 a.m., a team from the Goiás State Superintendency (SES/GO) will carry out field geodetic activities for the Gravimetric Densification Campaign on a 5’x5’ grid. At 2:00 p.m., representatives from the Minas Gerais State Superintendency (SES/MG) will participate in a meeting with the National Institute for Colonization and Agrarian Reform (Incra) to present data on the state’s quilombos.

On Tuesday (15), at 9:30 a.m., the team from the Amapá State Superintendency (SES/AP) will participate in a meeting with the IBGE management about the Institute's Planning until 2030.

On Wednesday (16), at 2 p.m., members of the Mato Grosso State Superintendency (SES/MT) will conduct training for the SBTs - module 2 - Territorial Base of PCTs for the 12th Census of Agriculture.
