The Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) released today (7) the schedule for the week of April 7 to 11. This edition includes internal and external meetings, as well as events and appointments from several IBGE areas, from the Presidency, Directorates and Advisories, State Superintendencies to the National School of Statistical Sciences (ENCE).

Presidency

On Monday (7), at 3 pm, a team from the IBGE Presidency will meet with a team from the Department of Address List (GCE) of the Coordination General of Census Operations (CGOC). At 4 pm, members of the Presidency will participate in a meeting of the Assessment Committee for Budgetary and Financial Execution (CAEOF).

On Tuesday (8), at 9 am, representatives of the Presidency will participate in a meeting of the Technical Committee for the 12th Census of Agriculture.

On Wednesday (9), at 8:30 am, a team from the Presidency will join a meeting of the Technical Committee for the 2022 Population Census. At 11 am, representatives of the Presidency will attend the meeting of the Statistical Coordination Group for the 2030 Agenda in Latin America and the Caribbean, of Statistical Conference of the Americas of Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC).

On Thursday (10), at 2 pm, a team from the Presidency will meet with members of the Coordination General of Census Operations to discuss the Schedule of Census Operations.

Directorates and Advisories

On Monday (7), at 8 am, representatives of the Department of Information Dissemination (GDI) of the Center for Information Documentation and Dissemination (CDDI) will record material for the 50th anniversary of the IBGE |Ecological Reserve in Roncador (RECOR). At 9 am, professor from the National School of Statistical Sciences (ENCE) will participate in a meeting with coordinators from the Interinstitutional Cooperation Center for Statistical Intelligence Applied to Public Policies (CIAP/IAPP) and with representatives of the Center for Public Policies Studies  (NEPP).

Also on Monday, at 10 am, a team from ENCE will attend the 6th workshop "Advancing towards the Integration between EO and AI for Agricultural Statistics". At 2:30 pm, professor from ENCE will participate in a meeting of the Work Group responsible for the organization of the 15th Annual NIC,br Workshop on Survey Methodology – Cetic.br.

On Tuesday (8), at 9 am, a team from the Directorate of Surveys  (DPE) will participate in a meeting of the UN Working Group: Workflow 5 on FAIR and reproductibility. At 2 pm, representatives of DPE will participate in a meeting about the Restricted Data Access Room with representatives of the Institute of Education and Research (INSPER). At 3 pm, representatives of the Directorate of Geosciences (DGC) will participate in a meeting of the Milton Santos National Atlas  2026 with specialist Sérgio Margulis.

On Wednesday (9), at 8 am, professors from ENCE will participate in a meeting on the LarPT Project. At 9 am, at the Social Communication Division (CCS) there will be an online press conference about the Monthly Survey of Trade (PMC). At 2 pm, members of the Directorate of Surveys (DPE) will meet with a team from the Working Group Favelas and poor Urban Communities. At 3 pm, a team from the executive Directorate  (DE) will participate in a monitoring and planning meeting for the Census of Agriculture at the Human Resources Division (CRH).

On Thursday (10), at 9 am, at the Social Communication Division (CCS) there will be an online conference of the Monthly Survey of Services (PMS). At 2 pm, members of the Directorate of Surveys (DPE) will participate in a meeting for Discussions on the Monthly Survey of Trade (PMC) Methodology .

On Friday (11), at 9 am, at the Social Communication Division (CCS) an online press conference will take place on the Extended National Consumer Price Index (IPCA/INPC). At 1 pm, professors from ENCE will attend an event of the National Fund for Education Development (FNDE). At 7 pm, a team from ENCE will join a meeting of the CiD-Analise PP Project.

State Superintendencies

On Monday (7), throughout the day, representatives of the IBGE State Superintendency in Espírito Santo (SES/ES) will travel to Teresópolis, in Rio de Janeiro (RJ), to join the Central Training for the National Survey of Basic Sanitation (PNSB). During the entire week, a team from the IBGE State Superintendency in Goiás (SES/GO) will be working on the Gravimetric Densification in 5’x5’ grid Campaing, in Região de Arraias, Tocantins (TO).

On Tuesday (8), at 9 am, a team from the State Superintendency in Alagoas (SES/AL) will give a presentation on IBGE Educa at Colégio Anchieta. At the same time, representatives of the State Superintendency in Maranhão (SES/MA) will give a mini workshop entitled “Getting to know the IBGE and developing abilities in the use of the SIDRA database”. At 10 am, a team from the IBGE State Superintendency in the Federal District (SES/DF) will conduct a training session for Business Administrators of PETRVS.

On Wednesday (9), at 2 pm, a team from the State Superintendency in Mato Grosso (SES/MT) conducts a training session for the SBTs - module 2 - PCTs census mapping for the 12th Census of Agriculture.
