With activities from November 4 to 8, IBGE makes available its weekly Schedule

The Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) released today (4) the IBGE Schedule for the week of November 4 to 8. The document includes internal and external meetings, disseminations, events and appointments of the IBGE's Presidency, its Directorates and Advisory Boards, State Superintendencies and the National School of Statistical Sciences (ENCE).

Since January, the IBGE has made the Institute's Agenda available every Monday at 9 am. Check out the IBGE's full schedule on the IBGE Schedule news channel.

Presidency

On Monday (4), at 10 am, the IBGE Presidency team will participate in a meeting with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR Brazil) on SDG Indicator 10.7.4: Proportion of the refugee population, by country of origin. At 11 am, representatives of the Presidency will participate in a meeting with the Extraordinary Secretary for State Transformation of the Ministry of Management and Innovation in Public Services (MGI).

Also on Monday, at 3 pm, the Presidency will give a lecture on SDGs at the ENCE Course "Towards COP 30, the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals". At the same time, the Presidency team will be present at the Dataprev 50th anniversary event.

On Wednesday (6), at 10 am, members of the Presidency will meet with the IAEG-SDGs group (Inter-agency and Expert Group on Sustainable Development Goal Indicators). At 11 am, the President of the IBGE will participate in an event at the Casa de Leitura Dirce Côrtes Riedel, in Botafogo, Rio de Janeiro (RJ).

Directorates and Advisories

On Monday (4), all day long, members of the Directorate of Surveys (DPE) will meet virtually with representatives of the Institute for Applied Economic Research (IPEA) to discuss SDG Indicator 17.9.1. At 10 am, representatives of the Geosciences Directorate (DGC) will participate in a meeting of the National Institute of Science and Technology (INCT) on Pollination: Strategies and Actions Axis.

Also on Monday, at 2:00 pm, the DPE team will participate in a meeting of the 2022 Population Census Advisory Committee. At 7:00 pm, the National School of Statistical Sciences (ENCE) will hold the Seminar “Potentialities, Limits and Challenges of Artificial Intelligence in Human Resource Training and for Public Policies”, presented by representatives of the Federal University of São João del-Rei (UFSJ).

On Tuesday (5), at 8:30 am, the Executive Board (DE) team will meet with representatives of the State Superintendencies (SES) to discuss the planning of the 121st Census of Agriculture. The event is scheduled to last until the end of the week.

On Wednesday (6), at 10:00 am, the ENCE team will participate in a meeting of the Climate Change Indicators Project using Artificial Intelligence (AI). At 1:00 pm, representatives of the Directorate of Surveys (DPE) will participate in the Third Meeting of the Income and Employment Statistics Commission of REES-Mercosur (Specialized Meeting of Statistics of Mercosur).

On Thursday (7), professors from ENCE will be present at the event at the Darcy Ribeiro State University of Northern Rio de Janeiro (UENF).

On Friday (8), at 9 am, the Social Communication Coordination (CCS) will hold an online press conference for the Extended National Consumer Price Index (IPCA/INPC), with a reference period of October 2024. At 10 am, the results of the 2022 Population Census: Favelas and Urban Communities will be announced at the Areninha Cultural Herbert Vianna, located in Nova Maré, in Rio de Janeiro (RJ).

Also on Friday, at 2:30 pm, members of the Directorate of Geosciences (DGC) will participate in a technical meeting with representatives of the National Institute of Studies and Educational Research Anísio Teixeira (INEP), on guidelines for the acquisition and internalization of administrative records of educational institutions in the country.

State Superintendencies

On Monday (4), at 2:30 pm, representatives of the State Superintendency of Brasília (SES/DF) will hold an internal Workshop “Natural Regions”, with dynamics by biome to evaluate the borders of the proposed natural domains and regions.

On Tuesday (5), members of the State Superintendency of Minas Gerais (SES/MG) will travel to Rio de Janeiro to participate in a technical meeting on operational planning with IBGE Superintendents.

On Thursday (7), at 3 pm, a team from the State Superintendence of Espírito Santo (SES/ES) will participate in a meeting for general guidelines of the Territorial Base.
