In Manaus, IBGE releases on Thursday (08/08) new national results from the 2022 Census: Birth records

The Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) will release, on August 08, at 10 am (Brasília time), in Manaus (AM), the results of the 2022 Population Census: Birth Records – Population Results”, with information on the report of the existence or non-existence of a document issued by a Civil Registry Office for the resident population up to 5 years of age. As for the Indigenous population, the data encompass the Administrative Record of Indigenous Birth (RANI), issued by the National Indian Foundation (FUNAI). 

The event will be held at the Headquarters of the Institute of Weights and Measures of Amazonas (IPEM/AM), located on Avenida Governador Danilo Barbosa, in the neighborhood Distrito Industrial of the state capital. IPEM AM is a partner of the IBGE in this release, together with the National Institute of Metrology, Standardization and Industrial Quality (INMETRO). The release will be streamed live on the IBGE website (ibge.gov.br) and on the Institute’s social media channels. 

IBGE organizes workshop for public managers, educators and students in Manaus 

On the same day, at 2 pm (local time), the IBGE will give the workshop “A territory of information: potentialities of data in the 2022 Census” aimed at public managers, educators and students at the headquarters of the Institute of Weights and Measures of Amazonas (IPEM/AM), located on Avenida Governador Danilo Barbosa, in the neighborhood Distrito Industrial of Manaus (AM). This release is part of the dissemination schedule of “2022 Population Census: Birth records – Population Results”.

The free workshop will present, besides technical and operational aspects of the survey, its potentialities for decision making by local managers, at state and municipal levels. Among the topics approached: what is the Census, figures of the operation, topics investigated, innovations in the 2022 Census, besides potentialities of information for local managers. Registration is open at the IBGE Virtual Shop (loja.ibge.gov.br).

There will also be a presentation of tools such as the 2022 Census overview, the Geographic Interactive Platform (PGI), the IBGE System of Automatic Retrieval (SIDRA) and the Environmental Information Database (BdiA), besides other previously mentioned topics and of prospects for coming releases.

The technical team will be formed by the coordinator of the Technical Population Census Coordination, Gustavo Junger, by the manager of Population Census planning, Giulia Scappini, by the systems analyst of the Coordination of Population and Social Indicators, Ailton José Furtado, by the technical advisor to the State Superintendence in Amazonas  (SES/AM), José Ilcleson Coelho, the head of the Information Dissemination Division of  SES/AM, Adjalma Jaques, the head of the Division of Integrated Geoinformation Production (SES/AM), Anderson Lima dos Santos, and by the Environment Coordinator,  Therence Sarti.
