The Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) released today (15) the schedule for the week of July 15-21. This edition includes IBGE commitments, internal and external meetings, as well as events and appointments for several IBGE areas, for the Presidency, Directorates and Advisories, State Superintendencies to the National School of Statistical Sciences (ENCE).

Presidency

The President’s week starts with a trip to New York, on Monday (15), to participate in the High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF). The event will be held from Monday to Thursday, with full-day sessions every day.

On Tuesday (16), at 9 am, a team from the Presidency will travel, in Brazil, in order to join a Test event. At 2 pm, they will be in a meeting with the Institutional Relations consultant.

On Wednesday (17), at 9h, representatives from the Presidency will attend an event with the Internal Affairs Office: Filling out of the Correctional Maturity Diagnosis Matrix for the IBGE at E-AUD, Comptroller General’s Office (CGU).

On Thursday (18), at 9 am, a team of Presidency representatives will join the National Statistical Institute of Mozambique in a video conference with the Technical Committee of the Project of Reference Centers in Africa.

On Friday (19), at 9h, a team from the Presidency will participate in the event Institutional Relations: I Webinar SDGs in Action: connecting municipalities in Latin America. The event will take place at the Federal University of Goiás (UFG).

Directorates and Advisories

On Monday (15), at 2pm, a team from the Executive Directorate (DE) will join a meeting with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).

On Tuesday (16), at 11 am, representatives from the Directorate of Geosciences (DGC) will participate in a meeting with the EG-ISGI Steering Group. At noon, members of the Directorate of Surveys (DPE) will attend an event abroad, the third meeting of the SCA/ECLAC’s Working Group on Agricultural Statistics (CEA/CEPAL), within the Working Group on Area Landmark.

Also on Tuesday (16), at 14h, representatives from the Directorate of Geosciences will attend the launch of the Thematic Report on Agriculture, Biodiversity and Services, produced by the Brazilian Platform of Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services. Simultaneously, a team from the National School of Statistical Sciences (ENCE) will participate in a webinar "Potentialities and Challenges of High-Scale Local Household Surveys”.

On Wednesday (17), at 10 am, a team from the Directorate of Surveys (DPE) and a team from the Directorate of Geosciences (DGC) will participate in an online meeting with the Paulo Freire Municipal Center for Worker Education (CMET), about the DNIT Connection Program DNIT – integration in the dissemination of demographic data.

Also on Wednesday (17), during the entire day, a team from DPE will participate in a meeting with the Working Group on the Loans and Funding Report (SCR) and GDP of Municipalities, in order to evaluate the preliminary results of 2022, base2010. At 2 pm, members of the Directorate of Geosciences will join a meeting with representatives of the Map of Peripheries.

On Friday (19), at 10 am, a team from the Center for Information Documentation and Dissemination and the Coordination for Social Communication (CDDI-CCS) will give a press conference in São Luís (MA) for the 2022 Population Census Quilombolas: Characteristics of housing units and literacy, by specific territories – Population results. Also at 10 am, a team from ENCE will participate in a meeting with representatives from the Brazilian School for Higher Studies of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (CBAE-UFRJ). At 11 am, a team from the Directorate of Geosciences (DGC) will participate in a meeting with the President of the Expert Group on the Integration of Statistical and Geospatial Information (EG-ISGI).

State Superintendencies

On Monday (15), during the entire day, at the IBGE State Superintendency in Ceará (SES/CE), there will be a training for the Parents and Teachers Association (APMs) on the Vital Statistics Survey.

On Tuesday (16), at 2 pm, at the State Superintendency in Brasília (SES/DF), a team will travel to Rio de Janeiro (RJ), for the launch of the Thematic Report on Agriculture, Biodiversity and Services, produced by the Brazilian Platform of Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services.

On Wednesday (17), at 1:45 pm, at the State Superintendency in Rio Grande do Sul (SES/RS), there will be the “Workshop on the IBGE’s digital tools: data as source of information for research and planning ", for teachers at the Farroupilha Federal Institute (IFFar).

On Thursday (18), at 10am, at the State Superintendency of Paraíba (SES/PB), there will be a Training in Work Force Dimensioning (DFT).
