IBGE participates in Federative Caravan in Pará

The IBGE is ready to participate in the 11th edition of the Federative Caravan, an initiative of the Federal Government through the secretariats of Federative Affairs (Seaf) and Institutional Relations (SRI). In Pará, the Federative Caravan will be held on July 4-5 at the Hangar Convention and Fair Center of Amazon, in Belém (PA).
The Federative Caravan has been covering Brazil since last year, aiming at providing state and municipal managers with a customized attendance. It aims at bringing the Federal Government closer to states and municipalities as a way to encourage the cooperation among federative entities. Ministries and several other offices of the Federal Government (the IBGA among them) volunteered to take part in the event, providing handy information of quality.
According to Rony Cordeiro, the IBGE State Superintendent in Pará, the participation of the IBGE in the Caravans is an opportunity to improve our inter-institutional relationship at the federal, state and municipal levels. "We have been working for some time here at SES-PA in the insertion of the IBGE in accounting and academic events, among others, to show to several sectors of the society what we do and how the IBGE work has been contributing to the construction of Brazil and to the life of the population over nearly 90 years. We are excited to know that the Caravan is coming to Belém. We are sure that it will be a showcase to our work, our products, as well as to create new partnerships," bets Cordeiro.
Based on the volunteering of effective and temporary officers of SES-PA, teams were organized to attend the public in the space made available to the IBGE by the organization of the event. Information about most IBGE activities will be available to the public, highlighted by the 2022 Population Census and other surveys of major interest to state and municipal managers.
Mayors of 144 city administrations participate in the Federative Caravan in Pará, as well as vice-mayors, repsentatives of state and municipal secretariats, municipal covenant managers, congressmen, representatives of state and municipal federations and joint ventures and of the organized civil society.
Before coming to Pará, the Federative Caravan had already been in Piauí, Bahia, Rio de Janeiro, Rio Grande do Sul, Tocantins, Maranhão, Ceará, Paraíba, Pernambuco and Amapá.
