The IBGE released today (27) this week's IBGE Schedule, which includes internal and external meetings, events and appointments of the Presidency, IBGE Boards and Advisors, its State Superintendencies and the National School of Statistical Sciences (ENCE) , from May 27 to June 2.

Since January, the Schedule has been published every Monday at 9 am. The Institute's complete schedule is available on the IBGE Schedule information channel..

Presidency

The week starts with an event of the Brazilian Office of the Comptroller General (CGU), on Monday (27), at 3pm, and the presentation of the “Keys Process Area” (KPAS) 3.3 and 3.4. On the same day and on Tuesday, there will be an internal event: IBGE 90 Dialogues Meeting – The National System of Geosciences, Statistics and Data (SINGED), which is expected to last all day, at Palácio da Fazenda (RJ).

Also on Tuesday (28), at 9 am, a team from the presidency will have an internal meeting with the head of the General Census Operation Coordination (CGOC).

On Wednesday (29), at 9 am, there will be a ceremony to celebrate the 88th anniversary of the IBGE, also at Palácio da Fazenda (RJ). On the same day and time, a team from the presidency will join the online monthly meeting of the group of inter-agencies specialists for Sustainable Development Indicators (IAEG-SDG). At 3pm, the Brazilian Office of the Comptroller General (CGU) will give a workshop to discuss and clear doubts about the KPAs 3.3 and 3.4, presented on Monday.

Directorates and Advisories

On Monday (27), a team from the directorate of Geosciences (DGC) will participate in an event, lasting all day long, about the end of the Project Connection Atlantic Rain Forest, and deliver the lecture in session 6: “The Importance of Open Source Data in the Dissemination of Science.” At 9 am, workers from National School of Statistical Sciences (ENCE) participates in a meeting with a team from the Federal University of Goiás (UFG) about courses for the external community.

On Tuesday (28), at 8 am, a team from the Directorate of Geosciences (DGC) will participate in a meeting with the technical committee of the Environmental Accounting System. On the same day and time, civil servants from the National School of Statistical Sciences (ENCE) participates in a meeting with students from Orlando Villas Boas Municipal School. At 2 pm, members of the Directorate of Surveys (DPE) will travel to Salvador (BA) to join a side event of G20 about the homeless population.

On Wednesday (29), at 10 am, at the Social Communication Coordination (CCS), there will be an online press conference about the Continuous Monthly National Household Sample Survey (Continuous PNAD), with April 2024 as a reference period. At 11 am, a team from the Directorate of Surveys (DPE) participates in a meeting with representatives of the Brazilian Agency for Industrial Development (ABDI) and the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), about the project Semiannual PINTEC. At 12:30, a team will join the online FAO event “Evolution of results of agricultural surveys and censuses.” At 2:30 pm, there will be a lecture entitled “An overview of the IBGE thematic surveys, with a focus on innovation and digitization in companies.”

Also on Wednesday, at 2 pm, a team from the National School of Statistical Sciences (ENCE) participates in a meeting with the research group on Reliability. At 3 pm, a team from the Directorate of Geosciences (DGC) will participate in the Monthly meeting with the National Center for Monitoring and Early Warning of Natural Disasters (Cemaden). On the same day, a group of civil servants from the Directorate of Surveys (DPE) will participate in the 68th Annual Meeting of the Brazilian Region of International Biometric Society (RBras). There will also be a meeting of the research group on Big Data and Public Statistics.

On Friday (31), at 2 pm, a team from the National School of Statistical Sciences (ENCE) will participate in the on-line event “Discipline Use of Qualitative Data in Social Surveys”. On the same day, a team from the Directorate of Surveys will take part in the UN PET Lab Meeting, an event scheduled to last the entire day.

State Superintendencies

On Monday (27), at 8h, at the State Superintendency of Espírito Santo (SES/ES), a team will participate in a meeting about the Systematic Survey of Agricultural Production (LSPA). At 10 am, at the State Superintendency of Amapá (SES/AP), a team will participate in the meeting of the Institutional Relations Department with the Superintendents to make a diagnosis of the work in 2024.

Also on Monday, at 11 am, at the State Superintendency in Bahia (SES/BA), a team will participate in the meeting of the project Transforma GOV. At 2 am, they will join a technical meeting with the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (FIOCRUZ), about the update of the Brazilian Index of Health Deprivation (IBP).

On Tuesday (29), at 9 am, at the State Superintendency in Amapá (SES/AP), the team participates in the meeting with the Directorate of Surveys (DPE), to discuss the Work Plan. At 2pm, a team from the State Superintendency if Bahia (SES/BA) participates in the workshop for the Elaboration of IBGE data use, promoted by the State Secretariat for Promotion of Racial Equality and of Traditional Peoples and Communities (SEPROMI).

Also on Tuesday, at 10:30 am, a team from the State Superintendent in Ceará (SES/CE) participates in a meeting with the president of the Association of Municipalities of the State of Ceará (APRECE).

On Wednesday, at 4pm, at the State Superintendent in Tocantins, there will be a meeting with the president of the Regional Electoral Court of Tocantins.
