The IBGE released today (20) this week's IBGE Schedule, which includes internal and external meetings, events and appointments of the Presidency, IBGE Boards and Advisors, its State Superintendencies and the National School of Statistical Sciences (ENCE) , from May 20th to 26th.

Since January, the Schedule has been published every Monday at 9 am. The Institute's complete shcedule is available on the IBGE Schedule information channel.

Presidency

At the Presidency, the week begins with a Correctional Maturity event with the Brazilian Office of the Comptroller General (CGU), on Monday (20), at 3 pm. On this occasion, the “Key Process Area (KPAs) 3.1 and 3.2” will be presented.

On Tuesday (21), the presidency team travels to participate in the 5th International Congress of Social Policy and Social Service: contemporary challenges, at the State University of Londrina. On the same day, the team travels to Oslo, Norway, to participate in a meeting of the International Forum of the General Assembly of TOSSD (Total Official Support for Sustainable Development), the event will last throughout the week.

On Wednesday (22), at 10 am, the presidency team will participate in a meeting with the International Labor Organization (ILO), on Multilateral Partnering and Cooperation for Development. At 2pm, there will be an online event about Internal Audit Awareness Month in Organizations. And, at 3pm, the team participates in the internal affairs workshop with the CGU for discussion and questions about the “Key Process Area (KPAs) 3.1 and 3.2”, presented on Monday.

On Thursday (23), at 9 am, representatives of the Presidency participate in a videoconference of the Technical Committee of the Reference Centers Project in Africa. At 2pm, the 2nd Sustainability and Geoprocessing Seminar will be held at the State University of Campinas (Unicamp). And, at 4pm, the presidency participates in a meeting with the Executive Board of the National Association of Directors of Federal Institutions of Higher Education Institutions (ANDIFES).

IBGE Directorates and Advisories

On Monday (20), the team of the Directorate of Surveys (DPE) participates in a meeting with the UN Task Team on Privacy-Enhancing Technologies, the event will last all day long. On the same day, the team participates in a Webinar on the Implementation of SEEA Ecosystem Accounting, to discuss recent country experiences and paths for synergies with the Global Biodiversity Framework. A meeting will also be held with the National Cooperative of Administrators (COPAD) and the Ministry of Health. And a Technical Visit to the Superintendence of Rio Grande do Norte will take place too. At 9 am, the team from the National School of Statistical Sciences (ENCE) participates in a meeting of the Program Committee of the 8th Conference on Big Data.

Also on Monday (20), at 9 am, the team of the Directorate of Surveys (DPE) participates in a meeting with the Department of Epidemiological Analysis and Surveillance of Noncommunicable Diseases (DAENT), about the National Survey of Health (PNS). At 10 am, the team participates in the regular meeting of the Census Operational Committee. At 1pm, the team from the Directorate of Geosciences (DGC) participates in a meeting of Users of the “FME Brasil” Platform. And, at 2pm, the team from the National School of Statistical Sciences (ENCE) participates in the seminar “42 years of the 'Elza Berquó' Population Studies Center (NEPO): Reflections on the 2022 Census.

On Tuesday (21), at 9 am, the Executive Board (DE) team participates in a meeting with superintendents. On the same day, a team from the Directorate of Surveys (DPE) participates in the Sea GDP WG, to discuss the methodology for calculating tourism. Throughout the day, a team from the Directorate of Geosciences (DGC) participates in the MundoGeo event, in São Paulo (SP). There will also be a presentation of the Continuous Cartographic Base Project for the State of Minas Gerais at scale 1:100,000 (BC100_MG).

Also on Tuesday, at 8 am, a team from the Directorate of Geosciences (DGC) carries out fieldwork at the IBGE Ecological Reserve, on the Lobélia brasiliensis Project. At 10am, a team from the National School of Statistical Sciences (ENCE) participates in a meeting with the Brazilian Institute of Municipal Administration (IBAM). At 2pm, the DGC team participates in a meeting between the Directorate of Geosciences and the João Pinheiro Foundation (MG).

On Wednesday (22), the team of the Directorate of Surveys (DPE) participates in a Workshop on Energy Accounts (G20 DGI Recommendation 1), the event will last all day long. And, at 11 am, the team participates in a meeting with representatives from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) and the Brazilian Agency for Industrial Development (ABDI). At 2pm, the team of the Directorate of Geosciences (DGC) holds a meeting of the Interinstitutional Working Group for the Census of Homeless Population. A Regional Seminar on the Preparation of the 2nd Brazilian Action Plan to Combat Desertification and Mitigate Drought Effects (PAB Brasil - Central-West Region) will also be held.

Still on Wednesday, at 2pm, representatives of the National School of Statistical Sciences (ENCE) lecture on the 20-year Perspective of SAGI/SAGICAD: History and Challenges, the event will be held in Brasília. At 3pm, the team participates in the event “Mathematics Symposium of the Southern Region of the Rio de Janeiro State - SIMMA 2024”, at the Fluminense Federal University (UFF).

On Thursday (23), the team from the Directorate of Surveys (DPE) participates in a meeting of the Full Interinstitutional Working Group on Homeless Population, the event will last all day. At 11am, the team participates in a meeting of the Statistical Operations Inventory Committee - Mercosur. At 9 am, a team from the National School of Statistical Sciences (ENCE) participates in a meeting of the Study Group on Brazilian Society and Economy at the Fluminense Federal University (UFF). And, at 1:30 pm, representatives from ENCE participate in a Master's Qualification event at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ).

On Friday (24), a team from the Directorate of Surveys (DPE) participates in an all-day meeting at the UN PET Laboratory (UN PET Lab).

State Superintendences

On Monday, at 3 pm, the Course “Towards COP 30, the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals” will be held at the State Superintendence of Minas Gerais (SES/MG). At the State Superintendence of Mato Grosso do Sul (SES/MS), there will be a lecture on "The IBGE in Mato Grosso do Sul and the 2022 Population Census", at the Federal University of Greater Dourados.

On Tuesday (21), at 8 am, a team from the Bahia State Superintendence (SES/BA) represents the IBGE at the “II Bahia-China Forum”.

On Wednesday (22), at 8 am, the team from the State Superintendence of Alagoas (SES/AL) participates in a lecture by the IBGE Educa at the 1st Interstate Symposium on Environmental Pedagogy (SIPAM), on “Population growth in the municipalities of the Evironmental Protected Area of the Corais : what does the Census reveal?”. At 1pm, they participate in a lecture on “Sustainability indicators in the Evironmental Protected Area of Costa dos Corais according to the IBGE: new and old challenges”, in Japaratinga.

On Thursday (23), at 9 am, at the Paraíba State Superintendence (SES/PA) there will be a seminar “Sociodemographic, economic and health profile of the elderly based on information from the 2022 Census: contributions to research in gerontology”. And, at 2 pm, the 1st Workshop on the Paraíba State Water Supply and Sewage Plan will be held.

On Friday (24), at 10 am, the Goiás State Superintendence team (SES/GO) will participate in the National Human Resources Meeting.
