On May 17, IBGE carries out tenth release of 2022 Census in São Paulo

On May 17, at 10 AM, the IBGE will release the results of the 2022 Population Census - Literacy: Population results. The data will be presented in an event at the Unidos de Vila Maria Samba School, in the neighborhood of Jardim Japão, São Paulo. The information refers to illiteracy and literacy rates of the population aged 15 years and over, disaggregated by geographies down to the municipality level and by color or race, indigenous people, sex and age group.
The data will be presented by the IBGE analyst Betina Fresneda. Representatives of the IBGE board and Gustavo Junger, Technical Coordinator of the 2022 Census, will be present as well. The event will be broadcast by Digital IBGE (ibge.gov.br) and through the IBGE´s social media: YouTube, Instagram, Facebook and TikTok.
It will be the tenth national release of the 2022 Census and it will count with a technical workshop named “A territory of information: Potentialities of the 2022 Census data,” which will be held from 2 PM to 6 PM at the same venue. At the time, IBGE researchers will present the technical and operational aspects of the survey, access tools and potential use of the data by local managers to take decisions. Like in previous workshops in the Census releases, the target audience focuses on public managers, scholars and IBGE data users. Registration can be made on the IBGE Store.
The workshop will be carried out by IBGE analysts Giulia Scappini, Bruno Mandelli Perez, Patrícia do Amorim Vida Costa and Therence de Sarti. In the end, themes already released by the Census will be presented, as well as perspectives for coming releases.
