IBGE Schedule for April 1 to 7 now available

The IBGE released today (April 1st) this week's IBGE Schedule, which includes internal and external meetings, events and appointments of the IBGE Presidency, Directorates and Advisors, its State Superintendencies and the National School of Statistical Sciences (ENCE), from April 1st to 7th.
Since January, the IBGE has made the Institute's weekly schedule available every Monday at 9am. The complete IBGE schedule is available on the IBGE Schedule information channel.
Presidency
On Monday (1st), at 11 am, the Presidency participates in a meeting with the Matria Association – Associated Women, Mothers and Workers of Brazil. On Tuesday (2), at 2pm, it participates in a virtual meeting on the SDG 15.3.1 indicator (Degraded Lands).
On Wednesday (3), at 9 am, the Presidency will be present at the opening of the Second Global Workshop for 2024 Voluntary National Reviews (VNR), of the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UNDESA). The event ends on Friday.
And, on Thursday (4), at 9 am, the Presidency will participate in a videoconference of the Technical Committee of the Reference Centers in Africa Project, which aims at expanding technical exchange through the training of institutes, taking electronic technologies of data collection as a basis through the IBGE experience.
Other Directorates
On April 1st, Monday, at 9 am, the manager of the Research Center of the National School of Statistical Sciences (ENCE), Andrea Diniz, participates in the Program Committee of the 8th International Conference on Big Data, held remotely, with more than 30 international partners. At 2 pm, the team from the Directorate of Geosciences (DGC) participates in the Climate Adaptation Plan Online Workshop - Chapter 2: Impacts, Risks and Vulnerabilities, focused on the Ocean and Coastal Zone sector. And, at 3pm, it participates in a meeting with the coordinator of the Minimum Exploratory Program (PEM).
On Tuesday (April 2), at 10:30 am, the team from the Directorate of Geosciences (DGC) participates in a technical meeting with the General Coordination of Traditional Populations of the Chico Mendes Institute for Biodiversity Conservation (ICMBio). The meeting will take place at ICMBio Headquarters, in Brasília (DF). At 2 pm, the team joins a meeting with representatives of the National Foundation for Indigenous Peoples (Funai).
Also on Tuesday, at 12 pm, members of the Directorate of Surveys (DPE) will participate in the presentation of the Operational Aspects of the 2017 Census of Agriculture to the National Institute of Statistics and Geography of Mexico (INEGI/México). And, at 3 pm, at the National School of Statistical Sciences (ENCE), there will be a remote meeting with the Technical Group of the Regional Hub for Big Data with the participation of the Information and Coordination Center of Ponto BR (NIC.Br).
On Wednesday (April 3), at 8 am, the team from the Center for Information Documentation and Dissemination and the Department of Social Communication (CDDI CCS) travel to João Pessoa (PB) to participate in the Federative Caravan. At 2 pm, Rafael Lopes da Silva, from the Directorate of Geosciences (DGC), delivers a lecture in the international seminar of the United Nations Committee of Experts on Global Geospatial Information Management to present the United Nations Integrated Geospatial Information Framework (UN-IGIF). The online meeting will be broadcast via the link available here. Morover, the DGC team will participate in the VIII Consultation with the Leaders of the Quilombola Population for the 2022 Population Census, at the UN House, Sérgio Vieira de Melo Complex, in Brasília (DF). The event will take place throughout the day.
Also on Wednesday, at 3 pm, the team of the Directorate of Surveys (DPE) participates in a meeting with the Brazilian Institute for Applied Economic Research (IPEA) to discuss the National Classification of Economic Activities (CNAE-Subclasses), with the presentation of proposals for the classifications of Civil Society Organizations (OSC) in the CNAE. And, at the same time, the team from the National School of Statistical Sciences (ENCE) participates in a remote meeting about the partnership between the IBGE and the Global Partnership for Sustainable Development Data (GPSDD). At 3:30 pm, ENCE's general coordinator, Paulo Jannuzzi, will give a remote lecture at the Federal University of Ouro Preto (UFOP).
On Friday (5), at 9 am, the team from the Directorate of Geosciences (DGC) participates in a meeting with the National Center for Monitoring and Early Warning of Natural Disasters (Cemaden) to develop a methodology for Rapid Population Count in Risk Areas . At 10 am, the Executive Directorate (DE) team will join the Forum of Integrity Instances, together with the Institute for Applied Economic Research (IPEA) and the Ministry of Planning and Budget (MPO).
State Superintendences
On Tuesday (April 2), at 2 pm, at the State Superintendence of São Paulo, the 1st State Meeting of Agricultural Statistics (REAGRO) of 2024 will take place, via videoconference. At the meeting, the first estimates for 2024 for the state's agricultural production will be defined and the estimates for 2023 will be appoved. At the same time, at the Maranhão State Superintendency, the superintendent will deliver the inaugural lecture of the Postgraduate Program in Socio-Spatial and Regional Development at the State University of Maranhão (UEMA).
Also on Tuesday, at 7 pm, the Goiás State Superintendence team will give a lecture to students of the Statistics Course at the Federal University of Goiás (UFG), aiming at deepening students' knowledge about the surveys carried out by IBGE.
On Wednesday (April 3), at 8 am, at the Bahia State Superintendence, training on how to access data from the 2022 Census in the IBGE databases will be offered. At 3 pm, at the State Superintendency of Mato Grosso do Sul, there will be a meeting with the Finance Secretariat of the State of Mato Grosso do Sul.
On Friday (April 5), at 1 pm, at the Ceará State Superintendence, Regina Dias, head of SEPAGRO, will deliver a lecture on Perspectives and potentialities of cashew farming at the Instituto Caju Brasil Forum, which will take place at the Legislative Assembly of Ceará (ALECE ).
