IBGE launches course for public managers at the Federative Caravan of Ceará

To close the editions of the Federative Caravans in 2023, an initiative of the Ministry of Institutional Relations, the IBGE will launch a special course aimed at public managers.
In the Ceará Federative Caravan, which began this Thursday, the 7th, and goes on until tomorrow, the 8th, in Fortaleza, the course Public policies in the digital era: Mastering IBGE data will be launched, an unprecedented free course for public managers, with 8 hours, via the online learning platform of the IBGE National School of Statistical Sciences (ENCE/IBGE).
The course will be taught by the ENCE/IBGE Virtual School. Municipal and state managers can participate, including: mayors, secretaries, legislators, advisors and assistants from different areas, such as: administration, laws, health, education, security, agriculture, among others. High school education is required from participants.
The objective is to prepare public managers to use the intelligence tools of the SIDRA system (IBGE Automatic Recovery System), a platform that allows carrying out different searches, generating graphs, cartograms and tables, among other possibilities. The elaboration can be carried out from the state, municipality or region itself, through data crossing and indicators, bringing managers closer to the knowledge of their own territory, as well as allowing automatic search to be carried out, with online results, from specific demands and challenges of public management.
In addition to the SIDRA platform, in this course, the IBGE will show several channels on the portal, with economic, social, health or agricultural indicators, as well as products that are available for free download digitally or at a low cost, in the case of printed works. There are more than 500 free disclosures and events per year, most of which are broadcast via the internet.
The course Public policies in the digital era: Mastering IBGE data was born from the need to take information and services directly to states and municipalities, which is the basis of the federative caravans, an initiative of the Ministry of Institutional Relations, always with the participation of the IBGE , which in five editions provided more than 600 services in its spaces within the Caravan.
The course will be certified by ENCE, IBGE's National School of Statistical Sciences, which for over 70 years has been a center of excellence with undergraduate, master's and PhD courses, with the best classifications from CAPES, as well as in the international area, having trained thousands of managers and researchers.
Registrations are open until January 10, 2024 on the IBGE Virtual Shop: https://loja.ibge.gov.br
Note: Registrations will close when the maximum number of students (1000) is reached.
There will be two online groups of 500 students each, on February 1st and 2nd, 2024, with two modules, the first from 8am to 12pm, and the second from 2pm to 6pm.
After registration closes, participants will be informed about the class days for their respective groups.
