The Presidency of the IBGE informs that officer Maria do Carmo Dias Bueno will take over the position of Director of Geosciences, replacing officer Ivone Lopes Batista, and officer Gustavo de Carvalho Cayres da Silva takes over the position of Deputy Director, replacing officer Patricia do Amorim Vida Costa. The transition will take place from next week onwards.

Maria do Carmo Bueno is an IBGE officer since 2002, currently working as Deputy Coordinator General of the Center for Information Documentation and Dissemination (CDDI), and Gustavo Cayres joined the IBGE in 2017, currently working at the Department of Addresses File of the Coordination General of Census Operations (CGOC).

The Presidency thanks officers Ivone Lopes and Patricia Vida, who continue to work at the Directorate of Geosciences, for their contribution in the period and, at the same time, congratulates officers Maria do Carmo Bueno and Gustavo Cayres, wishing success in their work at the DGC.
