The National Index of Civil Construction (SINAPI), released today (10) by the IBGE, showed a change of 0.24% in November. The rate is 0.29 percentage points (pp) lower than the October rate, which was 0.53%. The cumulative figure for the last 12 months was 4.03%, a result above the 3.86% recorded in the previous 12 months. In comparison with November 2023 (0.08%), there was an increase of 0.33 percentage points.
The national construction cost, per square meter, which closed at R$1,782.51 in October, rose to R$1,786.82 in November, of which R$1,031.57 was for materials and R$755.25 for labor force.
"Recording a rate of 0.41% in November, the share of materials showed a significant drop in relation to the previous month, 0.31 percentage points lower. Despite the observed drop, this rate represents the fourth highest of the year. The labor force segment, with no agreements signed in the period, recorded a rate of 0.01%, close to stability, falling both in relation to the previous month and to November 2023", explained the survey manager, Augusto Oliveira.
From January to November, the cumulative figures were 2.98% for materials and 4.83% for labor force. The cumulative figures in twelve months were 3.25% for materials and 5.09% for labor.
In November, the Southeast Region records the highest monthly change
The Southeast Region, influenced by the increase in the share of materials in all states, had the highest regional variation in November, 0.30%. The other regions presented the following results: 0.16% (North), 0.22% (Northeast), 0.26% (South) and 0.10% (Central-West)
“The Southeast Region, with an increase in the materials segment in all states, had the highest rate in November, and Espírito Santo had the highest rate among the states”, pointed out Augusto Oliveira.
With an increase in the materials segment, Espírito Santo was the state with the highest rate in November, 0.68%.
