In September, the National Index of Civil Construction changed by 0.50%

The National Index of Civil Construction (SINAPI) changed by 0.50% in September, being 0.29 percentage points (p.p.) below the August rate of 0.79%. The cumulatie index over the last 12 months was 5.58%, above the 5.42% of the previous 12 months. In September 2024, the index was 0.35%.

The national cost of construction , national construction cost by square meter rose from R$1,863.00 in August to R$1,872.24 in September, with R$1,068.14 for materials and R$804.10 for workforce.

The share of materials chanhed by 0.38%, with a drop both from he previous month (0.50%), and from September 2024 (0.49%), 0.12 and 0.11 percentage points, respectively.

The share of workforce, with fewer collective agreements signed against the previous month, changed by 0.65%, a decrease of 0.53 percentage points from August (1.18%), and an increase of 0.49 percentage points from September 2024 (0.16%).

The third quarter of the year closed at 3.20% (materials) and 6.42% (workforce). The cumulative figures for the last 12 months were 4.79% for materials and 6.66% for workforce.

Central-West region records the highest monthly change in September

The Central-West Region, with an increase in the share of workforce in all states and influenced by the increase in professional categories in Mato Grosso, recorded the biggest regional change in September, 1.90%. The other Major Regions presented the following results: 0.26% (North), 0.66% (Northeast), 0.23% (Southeast), and 0.11% (South).

Mato Grosso records the highest increase in September

With an increase in the share of materials and a collective agreement signed in professional categories, Mato Grosso was the state that recorded the highest rate in September, 5.45%.
