The National Index of Civil Construction (Sinapi) changed 0.08% in November, falling 0.06 percentage points in relation to October (0.14%). The cumulative result in the last twelve months was 2.36%, a result well below the 2.44% recorded in the previous twelve months. The November 2022 index was 0.15%.

The national cost of construction, per square meter, which closed at R$1,716.30 in October, rose to R$1,717.71 in November, with R$999.15 relating to materials and R$718.56 to labor force.

The share of materials with a rate of 0.08%, showed a small increase compared to the stability observed in the previous month (0.02%) and in November 2022 (0.01%), increasing 0.06 and 0.07 percentage points , respectively.

Labor force, without collective agreements signed this month, had a rate of 0.08%, registering a drop of 0.23 percentage points in relation to the October index (0.31%). In relation to November 2022, there was a drop of 0.27 percentage points (0.35%).

From January to November, the cumulative figures were: -0.21% (materials) and 5.97% (labor force). Those accumulated in twelve months were -0.14% (materials) and 6.05% (labor force), respectively.

North Region records highest monthly change in November

The North Region, with an increase in the share of materials in five of its seven states, had the highest regional change for the third consecutive time, 0.18%. The results for the other regions were: 0.14% (Northeast), 0.06% (Southeast), 0.13% (South) and -0.17% (Central-West).

Biggest increase was in Maranhão

With an increase in the share of materials, Maranhão was the state that recorded the highest rate in November (0.73%), followed by Roraima (0.60%), also with an increase in both shares.
