The IBGE releases today the values of nominal monthly household income per capita (RDPC) and the Coefficients of Regional Imbalance (CDR) for 2022 for Brazil and three Major Regions: North, Northeast and Central-West, calculated based on the Continuous National Household Sample Survey (PNAD). This disclosure complies with Decree 9,291 of 2018.

In 2022, the nominal per capita household income in the Central-West was R$1,909, above the national average (R$1,625), with the Coefficient of Regional Imbalance (CDR) equal to 1. The Northeast Region had an income of R$1,023 and a CDR of 0.63, whereas the North had an income of R$ 1,107 and a CDR of 0.68.

The coefficients are calculated based on regional income values ​​compared to the national average and the resident population surveyed by the National Household Sample Survey - Continuous PNAD.

In order to calculate the CDR, income from work and from other sources are considered. The values ​​were obtained from gross income from work and other sources, actually earned, in the reference month of the survey, accumulating information collected from the fifth interviews of the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th quarters of the Continuous PNAD that make up the year 2022, for the outcome of this year of reference.

According to decree 9,291/2018, the coefficients will be applied in the calculation of the financial charges levied on the financing of credit operations with resources from the Northeast Financing Fund (FNE), the North Financing Fund (FNO) and the Central-West Financing Fund (FCO).
