The performance of Ceará was influenced by the sector of manufacture of wearing apparel and accessories, food products and electrical machinery and apparatus. Pernambuco (-5.3%) and São Paulo (-3.5%) registered sharper negative rates than the national average (-2.6%), whereas Paraná (-2.6%), Minas Gerais (-2.2%), Espírito Santo (-1.0%), Rio Grande do Sul (-0.3%) and Northeast Region (-0.2%) were the other places that recorded a retreat in the cumulative index in the year.
