Up to October 8, 2018, persons interested can enroll in the selection process of the Lato Sensu Specialization Course in Environmental Analysis and Territory Management, offered by the IBGE´s National School of Statistical Sciences - Ence.
The course is free and the public notice is available here.
Ence´s specialization program aims at providing a theoretical, methodological and technical basis to build a critical view in relation to the processes of environmental/territorial planning and management, and production of space.
The selection process has two eliminatory phases: tests will be held on October 19, 2018 and interviews, on December 6-7, 2018.
The program has a workload of 468 hours/class, distributed along four quarters. Classes will be from Tuesday to Friday in the morning, beginning in March 2019.
The curriculum framework comprises courses in the areas of geosciences, geomatics, demography, economy, scientific methodology, statistics and applied subjects. To complete the course, students should present a monograph. Technical visits and field activities are also carried out, preferably on Saturdays.
Along 21 years, this course trained more than 200 experts among technicians, scholars and decision makers in the areas of environmental and territorial planning and management, both in the public and private spheres. Additional information can be obtained on the Ence´s web page.
