The Photographic Award of the 2017 Census of Agriculture is open for voting. Until October 5, the public will be able to choose, on censoagro2017.ibge.gov.br/premio, their favorite photo in each of the three categories: agricultural activities, rural scenarios and urban scenarios.

In addition, from September 13 to October 7, the finalists will be exhibited in the gardens of the Museum of the Republic, in Rio de Janeiro, which will also receive the vote until October 5.

The result will be disclosed on October 15 on the IBGE web portal. The winner in each category will receive the prize of R$5,000.00.

Photos reveal glances about Brazil

More than 3,300 images were registered to participate in the 1st Photographic Award of the Census of Agriculture, organized by the IBGE as a way of recognizing the work of the enumerators. Of these, 77 were selected, by commissions formed by employees and collaborators, in the agencies of IBGE and in the state units of the institute, to compete for the final prize. 

All the inscribed images will be incorporated into the IBGE iconographic collection and will be available on the Institute's web portal. The winning photos in the state and national categories will be part of a printed publication that documents the field work of the 2017 Census of Agriculture and reveal different glances about a vast Brazil captured by the lenses of the census takers.
