These products constitute 90.3% of the total stock among the products monitored by this survey, with the remaining 9.7% made up of cotton, black beans, colored beans, and other grains and seeds. In total, the survey collected 44.1 million tonnes of products that it monitors.

Silo capacity reaches 124.7 million tonnes, an increase of 1.2%

The total useful capacity available in Brazil for storage, recorded in the second half of 2025, in establishments active in the survey, was 233.8 million tonnes, 1.1% higher than the previous half. In terms of useful storable capacity, silos predominate in the country, having reached 124.7 million tonnes, which represents 53.3% of the total useful capacity. In relation to the previous semester, the silos showed an increase of 1.2% in capacity.

In the South Region, silos are responsible for 65.6% of regional storage capacity. The Region concentrates 42.7% of the country's total silo capacity.

Conventional, structural and inflatable warehouses predominate in the South Region (34.1%), followed by the Southeast Region (32.2%). These regions are, respectively, major producers of rice and coffee, products that are stored in bags and use this type of warehouse. The South and Southeast, together, correspond to 66.3% of the country's total conventional, structural and inflatable warehouse capacity.

In the distribution of storage types, by Federation Unit, Rio Grande do Sul has the largest number of storage establishments (2,444), followed by Mato Grosso, with 1,799 and Paraná, with 1,372 units.

Mato Grosso has the largest storage capacity in the country, with 64.2 million tonnes. Of this total, 58.8% are bulk carriers and 37.1% are silos. Rio Grande do Sul and Paraná have 38.9 and 35.7 million tonnes of capacity, respectively, with silos being the predominant type of warehouse in these States. The installed capacity is directly related to the distribution of grain production in the country.
