National Index of Civil Construction changes 0.31% in July

The National Index of Civil Construction (Sinapi) changed 0.31% in July, standing 0.57 percentage points (p.p.) below the June ´s index (0.88%). This was the second lowest index in the year, above the rate of February only. The cumulative index in the last 12 months hit 5.25%, below the rate of 5.34% recorded in the immediately previous 12 months.

The national cost of construction, per square meter, changed from R$1,842.65 in June to R$1,848.39 in July, of which R$1,058.77 were relative to material and R$789.62, to workforce.

The share of material registered a change of 0.23%, showing a drop both in relation to the previous month (0.41%) and to the index of July 2024 (0.30%), 0.18 and 0.07 percentage points, respectively.

On the other hand, the share of workforce, influenced by collective agreements signed in the period, changed 0.42%, a drop of 1.10 percentage points compared to June (1.52%). It dropped 0.11 percentage points against July 2024 (0.53%).

The cumulative indexes from January to July were: 2.30% for material and 4.50% for workforce. The cumulative figures in 12 months stood at 4.91% for material and at 5.76% for workforce.

The Northeast Region reports the highest monthly change in July

Influenced by the highs in the share of professionals in Ceará and Alagoas, The Northeast Region reported the highest regional change in July, registering 0.69%. The other regions showed the following results: 0.24% (North Region), 0.11% (Southeast Region), 0.19% (South Region) and 0.20% (Central-West Region).

Alagoas records the highest rise in July

With a rise in the share of material and collective work agreements signed, Alagoas was the state that recorded the highest rate in July (3.02%), followed by Ceará, under the same conditions (2.31%).
