In October, National Index of Civil Construction changed by 0.53%

The National Index of Civil Construction (SINAPI) changed by 0.53% in October, being 0.18 percentage points below the September index (0.35%). The cumulative index in the last 12 months was 3.86%, a result above the 3.46% of the 12 immediately previous month. The index of October 2023 was 0.14%.

The national cost of construction, by square meter, changed from R$ 1,773.20 in September to R$ 1,782.51 in October, being R$ 1,027.32 relative to materials and R$ 755.19 to workforce.

Materials, with a rate of 0.79%, highest index since August 2022, recorded an increase against both the previous month (0.49%), and October 2023 (0.02%), 0.30 and 0.77 percentage points, respectively.

Workforce, despite two collective agreements effected, kept the index of September, 0.16%, recording a drop from October a year ago (0.31%), 0.15 percentage points.

The cumulative indexes from January to October were: 2.56% (materials) and 4.82% (workforce). The cumulative indexes in 12

months stood at 2.91% (materials) and 5.16% (workforce), respectively.

North Region records biggest monthly change in October

With an increase in materials in all its states and collective agreements registered in Roraima and in Pará, the North Region recorded the highest regional change in October, 1.58%. the other Major Regions recorded the following results: 0.40% (Northeast), 0.50% (Southeast), 0.42% (South) and 0.17% (Central West).

Roraima records biggest increase in October

With an increase in professional categories and in the segment of materials, Roraima was the state with the highest rate in October, 3.08%, followed by Pará, 2.98%, under the same conditions.
