In September, National Civil Construction Index changes by 0.35%

EThe National Civil Construction Index (SINAPI) changed by 0.35% in September, being 0.28 percentage points below the index of August (0.63%). The cumulative index in the last 12 months was 3.46%, a result above the 3.12% registered in the 12 previous month. The September index was 0.02%.
The national cost of construction, by square meter, changed from R$ 1,767.09 in August to R$ 1.773.20 in September, being R$ 1,019.25 relative to materials and R$ 753.95 to workforce.
The share of materials, with a rate of 0.49%, recorded a slight decrease from the previous month (0.50%), 0.01 percentage points. Against September 2023 (-0.22%), there was an increase of 0.71 percentage points.
Workforce, with an index of 0.16%, and no collective agreement observd in the month, recorded a decrease both from August (0.81%), and from September a year ago (0.36%), 0.65 and 0.20 percentage points, respectively.
The cumulative indexes from january to September were: 1.75% (materials) and 4.66% (workforce). The cumulative indexes in 12 months stood between 2.13% (materials) and 5.32% (workforce), respectively.
Northeast Region has highest monthly change in September
With a rise of materials in all its states, the Northeast Region recorded the highest regional change in September, 0.49%. The other Major Regions had the following results: 0.27% (North), 0.34% (Southeast), 0.12% (South) and 0.31% (Central West).
Ceará recorded biggest increase
With a rise in the share of materials, Ceará had the highest rate in September, 0.73%.
