National Index of Civil Construction changes 0.24% in November

The National Index of Civil Construction (SINAPI), calculated by the IBGE, recorded a change of 0.24% in November, 0.19 percentage points below the October rate (0.43%). The cumulative index in the year was 4.18% and in the last twelve months, 4.36%, a result below the 4.61% registered in the prior twelve-month period. In November 2017, the index was 0.48%.

The national cost of construction per square meter, which in October closed at R$1,108.75, changed to R$1,111.41 in November, R$576.75 relative to materials and R$ 534.66 to labor force.
The share of materials had a change of 0.36%, recording deceleration both in relation to the previous month (0.69%) and in relation to November 2017 (0.67%).
The labor force share presented a change of 0.11%, decelerating 0.16 percentage points in relation to October, and 0.28 over November 2017.
The cumulative indices in the year stood at 5.83% (materials) and 2.47% (labor force). In the last 12 months, the cumulative indices stood at 5.97% (materials) and 2.70% (labor force)
North Region records biggest monthly change:
With positive indices in all states, the North Region had the greatest change in November, 0.51%. In the other areas, the rates were: 0.35% (Northeast), 0.07% (Southeast), 0.37% (South) and 0.21% (Central-West).
The costs by area, per square meter, were: R$1,117.65 (North); R$1,034.74 (Northeast); R$1,157.52 (Southeast); R$1,151.60 (South) and R$1,121.77 (Central-West).
Roraima boosts
Suffering the impact of the collective bargain agreements, Roraima, with 1.36%, presented the biggest monthly change among the states.
