IBGE launches educational portal

The IBGE released, today, April 25, IBGEeduca, a portal with educational content aimed at different school segments: children, youngsters and teachers. It presents three sections adapted to each one of the audiences, and provides information on social, economic, cultural and territory aspects of Brazil.
Always in accordance with the guidelines set by the Ministry of Education, the portal is permanently updated with new topics and information.
The area dedicated to children is a space for them to access the information produced by the IBGE in a playful way and in a language adapted to children. By means of texts, graphs, maps, videos and games, kids can get to know more about our population and territory.
The website directed to youngsters presents study material, prep. Content for ENEM1 and special reports about current issues, besides relevant data on the Brazilian people and territory.
The section directed to teachers presents suggested activities and resources – with content from child education to high school levels – based on information from the IBGE, to be used in the classroom. There is also an interactive blog where educators rom all over the country can share teaching experiences using ata and material from the Institute.
Produced by a multidisciplinary team, with education, communication, design and web development professionals, educa.ibge.gov.br is a responsive portal, that is, it can be accessed from different devices, such as tablets, mobile phones and personal computers. The websites have a contact form, so that users can submit their doubts, suggestions and interactive contributions to the portal team.
