IBGE puts out today, October 19 of 2014, a set of thematic geospatial information (integrated shapes) at a scale of 1:250,000 (1cm=2.5km) and their respective attribute tables, covering the themes geology, geomorphology, soil and vegetation. This release is part of the production and publication of the geospatial information covering the themes: geology, geomorphology, vegetation and soil of the whole national territory, at the scale of 1:250,000. The aim is to provide information on natural and environmental resources in order to give support to sustainable development. The themes and respective sheet to the millionth available are:

• Theme Geology – Sheets SC.24 Aracaju, SE.22 Goiânia, SE.23 Belo Horizonte and SE.24 Rio Doce;
• Theme Geomorphology – Sheets SD.23 Brasília and SD.24 Salvador;
• Theme Soils (Pedology) – Sheets SA.24 Fortaleza, SB.24 Jaguaribe and SB.25 Natal; e
• Theme Vegetation – Sheets SA.24 Fortaleza, SB.24 Jaguaribe, SB.25 Natal and SC.23 Rio São Francisco.
