IBGE makes available today, December 16, 2013, a set of thematic geospatial information on geology, geomorphology, soil and vegetation of a number of areas all over Brazil. The maps scale is 1:250,000, i. e., 1 cm in the map represents 2.5km of area. The corresponding attribute tables are also available.

The set of maps and tables includes the following themes and sheets (on the millionth): Geology – Sheets: SA.23 São Luís, SA.24 Fortaleza, SB.23 Teresina, SC.23 Rio São Francisco, SH.21 Uruguaiana, SH.22 Porto Alegre and SI.22 Lagoa Mirim, encompassing nearly 1,073,942km²; Geomorphology – Sheets: SA.23 São Luís, SB.23 Teresina, SC.23 Rio São Francisco, SD.22 Goiás, SE.21 Corumbá, SE.23 Belo Horizonte, SH.21 Uruguaiana, SH.22 Porto Alegre and SI.22 Lagoa Mirim, comprising around 1,793,402km²; Pedology (Soil) - Sheets: SA.23 São Luís, SD.22 Goiás, SE.22 Goiânia, SH.21 Uruguaiana, SH.22 Porto Alegre and SI.22 Lagoa Mirim, encompassing nearly 1,013,342km²; Vegetation – Sheets: SD.23 Brasília, SE.22 Goiânia, SE.23 Belo Horizonte, SF.21 Campo Grande and SF.22 Paranapanema, comprising around 1,255,482km².
